TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

QUE BONITA BANDERA Sugary Delights is a small baking business located in Chicago, IL, United States.

​

From now on, we will refer to the business as QBBSD.

​

These terms and conditions serve as the contract between the client and QBBSD.

​

By placing an order with us, the customer has accepted these terms and conditions.

​

Terms and conditions are subject to change and update without notice.

 

ALLERGY DISCLAIMER

The customer must communicate with QBBSD if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions. With this said, however, despite QBBSD taking great precautions and strict processes to prevent cross-contamination, there is still a risk of the presence of any allergen as sugary delights are made in a business that uses milk, eggs, nuts, etc.

The customer is responsible of notifying their guests of possible allergens.

                                                                                                                               

ORDERS

QBBSD works by order. A customer must contact QBBSD to speak to an employee and set up the products desired as well as the day, time, and mode of receiving the product. The customer must permit a minimum of three of days of anticipation to their event before placing an order.

Orders a day before the customer’s event will not be accepted.

 

CAKE ORDERS

Every cake order must commence with the customer filling out a cake estimate form. This form acts as a request to consult with QBBSD.

 

ACCEPTANCE AND REFUSAL

We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason at any time.

​

QUOTATIONS

All price quotations are valid for three months from the date of quotation. Any quotation after three months has expired and is subject to change.

 

DEPOSIT

When placing an order, the customer must pay half of the total as a deposit. With this money, we reserve a space for the customer’s order and invest in the necessary materials to carry out the order. The deposit will not be refunded if you cancel an order. When we take a customer’s order, we begin the process of declining others. As we get closer and closer to the customer’s event date, the chances of re-booking said date are greatly reduced.

 

If the customer makes an order but fails to pay the deposit after everything has been agreed upon, QBBSD will not move forward with this order and the date will be opened for someone else.

 

PAYMENT

The other half of the total for the order must be paid no later than the moment the sugary delights are picked up or delivered. The money will never be paid after.

​

We accept cash, PayPal, Zelle, and debit card, and/or credit through Square.

 

PICK UP

All orders include pick-up, no additional charge. The address for the pick-up cannot be found anywhere online. QBBSD is a small business with no physical establishment. The address will be given to the customer.

 

DELIVERY

Orders do not include the delivery service. If the customer chooses this option, an additional cost will be added to the total of the order to all orders without distinction of persons. The cost of delivery depends on the miles and the weather QBBSD must travel from our base to the customer’s location.

 

RESERVATIONS

The customer may reserve a day and hour months in advance, however, any order that has been booked three months or more in advance will be subject to a price change, as already mentioned in QUOTATIONS, as utilities and ingredients increase in cost.

 

CHANGES   

Any changes to the order after it has already been agreed will be subject to QBBSD's discretion.

 

QBBSD retains the right to refuse changes or alterations to an order that has already been discussed and stipulated.

 

It is important for the customer to note that not all changes are possible.

​

It is imperative that the client considers that in order for an alteration to his order to be viable, depending on what the change is, the client has to inform QBBSD in advance. The closer to the day of the customer's event, the fewer opportunities there are for change.

​

The deposit will not be returned, no exceptions.

 

SERVING SIZE

The amount of cake needed for an event or the estimation of how many people a cake may feed is an estimation and not guaranteed to be exact.

​

QBBSD is not responsible if a cake shortage occurs because cake pieces are cut larger by the customer than the agreed upon measurements.

 

CAKE DESIGNS

QBBSD strives to make the customer’s sugary delights as the customer desires. However, QBBSD will not copy someone else’s designs. We cannot do exact replicas if the design requested are copyrights of another artist. QBBSD works with their own style and will take examples given to us by the customer as guides, inspirations, and starting points.

​

If the customer wants a specific decoration, they must supply it, and if they do not supply it, QBBSD will do their best to find something similar but at an additional cost, over the stipulated price of the cake itself.

 

Please, be aware that all cake work is art, and all our cakes are handmade. The colors might not always be exact, but we do try our best to match. Keep in mind that the lighting does influence how colors are perceived as well.

 

DISCLAIMER – COLORS

Strong and vibrant colored cakes need a lot of food coloring, which alters the taste of the cake.

 

CAKE CARE

The customer accepts these instructions for the care of the cake and assumes responsibility for the cake once it is in their hands.

​

Cakes should be collected and transported from below only.

​

The cake must always be level.

​

Remove the cake from the refrigerator an hour or two before serving.

​

The cake should be served at room temperature.

​

Be sure to remove all decoration before cutting the cake. Some decorations may be edible, but others may not.

 

Cakes can contain wood, plastic, and other materials inside as support.

​

Keep the cake away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and strong winds. It is normal for wet and moist cakes to drain, so take extra precautions with this type of cake. Certain fillers are also more at risk than others.

​

The customer accepts that once the cake is in their hands, it is no longer the responsibility of QBBSD.

​

We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after collection or delivery.

​

The customer is responsible for providing a suitable and safe environment for the cake.                                                                                                                                                                  

QBBSD is not responsible for any damage caused by the alteration of the cake by a third party.                                                                                                                                                     

 

INVOICE

QBBSD only guarantees the sugary treats and services listed on the invoice.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS AND MARKETING

We respect the privacy of all out customers. We will not disclose the identity of any of our clients—this means pictures of them, contact details, and event details.

​

QBBSD, however, reserves the right to photograph and share our work on any platform. We also reserve the right to use these pictures for display and promotional purposes without compensation to the customer.

 

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue a product or service without notice.

 

The client accepts these terms and conditions contained herein.
